How Do I Disable Pop-Up Blockers
The most common type of popup blocker that may be installed on your system is a blocker built into your web browser: Internet Explorer 6 and higher, Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome all have popup blockers built into the applications. See below for instructions for specific web browsers.
To disable a popup blocker on your web browser, please do the following:
WINDOWS USERS
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, or 11 on Windows XP, Vista or 7
- Click the Tools menu, point to Popup blocker, then click “Turn off popup blocker”.
- If you wish to select specific sites to continue to allow pop-ups, instead of clicking on “Turn off pop-up blocker,” go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, click on “Pop-up blocker settings.” (You can choose to allow pop-ups only on specific sites, which will leave the ones that annoy you disabled).
- Type in the name of the website(s) you wish to allow pop-ups from, and then hit the Add button: *.training.reliaslearning.com
Mozilla Firefox 3.x
- Click the Tools menu, then select Options.
- Click on the Content icon at the top of the Options window.
- Uncheck the Block popup windows option.
Google Chrome
- Click the three horizontal bar (or horizontal dots) icon to the top, right corner of your browser
- In the drop down that appears click on the “Settings” option
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click the option for “Show advanced settings…”. This will display more options.
- Click the “Content Settings” button directly below “Privacy”
- In the new window that opens you should scroll down until you see an option for “Pop-Ups” then check the bubble beside “Allow all sites to show pop-ups”
- Close the tab.
Macintosh Users
Safari 4.0
- Click the Safari menu.
- If the menu has a checkmark to the left of the Block popup windows option, the popup blocker is enabled.
Select Block popup windows to clear the check mark.
- If the menu has a checkmark to the left of the Block popup windows option, the popup blocker is enabled.
Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and 3.5
